Kava is a root from the plant Piper methysticum. kava has been used as a ceremonial tradition in the Pacific Islands. Kava contains the active ingredient kavalactones which have a sedative, anesthetic, and euphoric property. Kava may be used for relaxation and it’s calming properties. Kava may also help with anxiety, depression, PMS, and alcohol withdrawals. However, nothing is proven and this product is not tested by the food and drug administration.
Instead of using kava root powder like most products are, we use a pure kavalactone extraction. This increases the effect of the kavalactones and requires less consumption for the full effect. Kava is normally brewed into a cold water drink which tastes like a bitter, black pepper drink and is for some hard to palate. That is another reason we use a capsule for it’s convivence and tasteless use.
